Part of what you do will likely include evaluating the potential new hires and figuring out if they are a good fit for the position. You may not make the final hiring decision, but you will usually have a major say in who makes it to the table.

As you’re working in this position, you will be in the middle of the employee and the employer in some cases. They may come to you when they need to negotiate benefits, workers comp, and other important HR issues.
