I was thrilled when I opened my mail a couple of weeks ago to discover this:
I love technology and I also love a bit of bling so to receive a pair of limited edition 24 Carat Gold BassBuds earphones is exciting. All the photos really do not do the earphones justice. When I take them out in public, I often get asked about them.
What’s Included In The Box:
The BassBuds Gold earphones comes in a chic leather bound gift box. It also includes 3 Pairs of luxury memory foam replacement tips (S/M/L) and 6 sets of hypoallergenic silicone and memory foam in-ear tips in 3 sizes (S,M,L). Underneath the top layer of the gift box, you will find a Certificate of Authenticity, an instruction manual and maintenance booklet.
Appearance:
Each earphone housing is encased with exquisite 24 Carat gold plating. The 24 Carat Gold limited edition has also been professionally lacquered so that it has a robust surface that protects and maintains a lasting sheen. The earphone is topped off with a perfectly set of SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS® crystal stone.
The BassBuds also features a hands-free microphone that is compatible with all smartphones and media players. It works with the BassBuds button to provide multi-functional control of phone calls, audio selection as well as Siri and Google search use.
Sound:
All BassBuds feature Crystaltronics® sound technology. My initial impression is that the earphones have really great bass sound. The sound is very clear. My only complaint about these earphones is that with higher range acoustics the sound is not quite as good as with bass type music such as pop or dance. But the sound is still clear and amazing.
I tested out the earphones on a public bus, with the TV on and with other noise in the background and I found that they are great at blocking out background noise. The memory foam ear buds work the best at blocking out background noise but the silicone ones were sufficient as well. The sound quality while making phone calls with my smartphone is also clear and crisp.
Controlling Music and Answering Calls:
The BassBuds button is an inline MP3 controller which can be used to control music on your smartphone or answer calls. It functions well by following these simple instructions:
- To answer and end a call simply click once,
- Play and pause click once,
- Click twice fast to get to next track,
- Click 3 times fast to go back to previous track,
- Click and hold for connection to your voice control commands.
Conclusion:
I love my BassBuds earphones. Besides being fashionable (and blingy with the Swarovksi crystals) they are of high quality and the sound quality is terrific. They are also available in 20 other colors in 2 other collections. There is a color and option out there for everyone’s taste. But I highly recommend the 24 Carat Gold BassBuds.
